The blogging phenomenon has grown enormously in the last couple of years. But blogging is not only a matter for fashionistas, politicians and soccer fans. Companies have also begun to understand the pros of gathering thoughts, opinions and information in the blog format, easily reached by customers, partners, press and other interested parties. Has your company not yet understood the possibilities of blogging? Here are the arguments for starting a corporate blog.
A strong brand is a non tangible asset which is hard to appreciate. Most will agree that there is a clear connection between the strength in the brand and the successes of the company. But how do you get there? And what constitutes a strong brand? Let us try and unravel the idea.

On 7th May 2008 the Swedish Corporate Governance Board presented a revised Code of Corporate Governance, which will apply from 1st July this year. The most important difference in relation to the existing code is that the new one applies to all companies listed on OMX Nordic Exchange and NGM Equity. Prior to the amendment the Code applied only to companies with a market capitalisation of more than SEK 3 billion.
The greatest challenge with usability tests is to find time, money and not least users to test them on. Preferably without delaying the project. Furthermore experts must be employed and this takes time. Or are there other ways?

A growing focus lies on the board and especially the chairman of the board. In the Swedish Corporate Governance model, the chairman and the CEO are different persons. In a study by H&H 75 per cent of the 44 interviewed chairmen, CEOs and owners, consultants etc say that the role of the chairman has increased during the past five years. 61 per cent think that this increase will continue during the next five years.

Companies wishing to create long-term value need to inspire credibility and legitimacy in the eyes of their stakeholders. One way for a company to become a good citizen is to become involved in the local community or to give to charity.

It is amazing how much one can find out about almost anything through the Internet nowadays. The transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 has made available a great dynamic on the web. New technologies have opened up for everyone to use, and as the understanding about these new features of the web spreads, so does the variety of information available. In fact, at this point in time, the vast majority of information created on the Internet, is produced not by companies and organizations, but by its everyday user.
More and more investors and analysts are showing an interest in CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility. This increases the need for companies to open up for work with CSR. Communication should therefore be seen as an important part of a company’s CSR strategy. An efficient channel for overall corporate communication is the corporate website, and it is also the primary source of corporate information for many financial analysts, investors and business journalists.
